Fort Bend County Links
Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer death among African American women? Many of us have been touched by breast cancer whether ourselves, a relative, or a friend. One never knows if and when one will be affected by this terrible disease.
The Links, Incorporated is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Sisters Network, Inc. is based here in Houston and is committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the African American community. So it's only natural that we partner to improve the lives of our people.
Please join the Fort Bend County (TX) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated in supporting the 2017 Sisters Network Stop the Silence 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 8, 2017 as we help to raise funds to drive awareness and enhanced care for patients and families impacted by breast cancer.
