Welcome - please join me in supporting Sisters Network!
My mother, Jacqueline Wright (Ms. Jackie) was called home last year, as she fought Stage 4 Breast Cancer. In the same year I was offically diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer and underwent treatment. 2018 was a difficult year for me with the loss of my mom and then to go through the experience for a 3rd time. Unfortunately Breast Cancer will effect 1 in 8 women each year. Breast Cancer has effected my family through the last 3 generations. My grandmother in 1996, my mother in 2006, and me in 2017. Thanks to the BRACA DNA test, I caught mine in the early stage. Now, I am trying to educate my family, friends and young women to get this test if you have any family history of Breast Cancer.
So it is my hope that you will join me in the walk and to bring awareness and inspire women who maybe going through Breast Cancer or who has experienced Breast Cancer with a loved one to have continued Faith, Hope, and Belief in finding a Cure.
Please help me as I raise funds and awareness for the Sisters Network, Inc. Stop the Silence Breast Cancer Walk that raises funds for the Sisters Network Breast Cancer Awareness Program.
A portion of the funds raised from this event provides assistance to breast cancer survivors, currently in treatment and facing financial challenges. Financial Assistance is paid directly to third party providers and covers hospital /clinic/ physician and medical group; medical related lodging, medical insurance, co-pay, rent and utilities.
BCAP is also an early detection program which provides free Mammograms, Ultrasounds and Biopsies.
